Regardless of the type of whiteboard you’ve purchased (ceramic, porcelain, or especially matte porcelain), whether from our brand or others, all whiteboards develop use marks that can be removed by following the instructions below.
Simply use the eraser when needed. However, depending on the markers used and how long the writing stays on the board, some marks may remain visible.
We recommend that, at the end of each day (or each week, for light use), you maintain your porcelain or ceramic whiteboard using one of the following options, applied with a spray bottle and a microfibre cloth:
- A specific whiteboard cleaning spray;
- A solution of water (90%) with 10% ethyl alcohol;
- Glass cleaner, preferably a degreasing one, since what most affects the writing quality on the board is writing with your hand resting on its surface;
Afterward, it’s also advisable to go over the surface with a cloth dampened with water (well-wrung out, not soaking wet) and let it dry naturally.
Occasionally, if a deep clean is needed and only very occasionally, you can use a cloth soaked in pure alcohol to remove all marks, followed by a cloth dampened with water (well wrung out, not soaking) to remove any residue, and let it dry. On custom-printed whiteboards, the use of pure alcohol should be avoided whenever possible.
Never, under any circumstances, use abrasive products (such as CIF, for example), ether, or similar substances. quadrosbrancos.pt cannot be held responsible for the use of inappropriate markers or cleaning products that damage the whiteboard surface.
Please note that the eraser is a consumable item and, when dirty, can damage the writing surface. Replace it frequently; you can purchase one on our accessories page, and it includes 10 refills.
